Memoirs of a Geisha

The four of us ( shall not mention any names as the powers that be might stumble upon my blog some day!) went to watch Memoirs of Geisha today and it was a FABULOUS movie. It had all the elements that I like in a movie, a touch of romance,suspense and it was a really moving movie. The effect was so great that I went to get the book the same day. It was a sad and moving movie and there was some great dialogue too - which for the life of me I cant remember now. I wish Jasbir was there to watch with me...but I am sure he would have hated it!!!lol

The Chairman, the high-powered executive with whom the young geisha, Sayuri, falls in love was so touching ...I mean really he is so so cute and I dont know what it was but I think I just found the man whom I would want to marry ...what high ideals I have! Anyway, He was really so charming and my new year wish for my two friends, Khairul and Zalina is that they would one day find a "Chairman" in their life just like I did though it was only to be for a short period of time. Better once than never I guess.

What else did I do today...went to Jusco to meet up Theresa to collect her thesis which I need to edit over the next 2 days. Took Raveena with me...never fails to entertain me with her stories and ideas and taught her some new words (depressed means being very very sad)as I was trying out some clothes which of course could not fit me...I am a glutton for punishment. There is still a long way to go before I reach my pre pregnancy weight. I just hope it is not too long...it has been about 3 months now since I seriously started working on reducing it.

I still find my writing a tad bit stilted...shall eloborate on this later. Cheers!
